Manchester United have been dealt a massive blow in their pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
As reported Goal, the Germany international has been considering his future amid claims that he could leave German club this summer.
Werner was questioned about whether or not he would stay with Leipzig for the 2018/19 campaign. His response was clear: “Next year, definitely.”
Werner state again his commitment to the cause at the Die Bullen amid rumours that The Red Devils could make a move for him when the summer transfer window opens.
The young forward recently admitted that moving to the Premier League is his desire, but not at this early phase of his career. Werner also flirted with the theory of a move to United if the time is right.
“I would like to play for two or three clubs, and Manchester United are one of those clubs. But probably not in the next few years – later, when my English is a little bit better! I’m very comfortable at RB Leipzig, though”
After all, for now at least, it looks like the clinical attacker will be staying put with German club as he aims to help them to further success.
